I hope you enjoy them!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003ESticky S'more Blondie Bars\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003E\nYield: 20-40? It all depends on how you cut the bars.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003EBlondies\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 2\/3 cups all-purpose flour\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 teaspoons baking powder\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 teaspoon Kosher salt*\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1\/2 cup of crushed graham crackers (I took one \"block\" and crushed them on the counter while they were still in the bag).\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 cups packed brown sugar\u003Cb\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/b\u003E(light or dark works, but I prefer light brown)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n2 eggs, at room temperature\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 tablespoon vanilla extract\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003ES'more Topping\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1\/4 to 1\/2 a cup of crushed graham crackers\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n6-8 oz of 72% dark chocolate, finely chopped. I used the BIG red Pound Plus bar from Trader Joe's but you can use any good quality chocolate. Don't use semi-sweet or milk chocolate. It will be too sweet. I don't recommend chips as they don't melt as evenly but you do you.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n1 bag of big marshmallows, cut-in-half (using clean scissors make this easy!). I used all but nine of the big marshmallows. You could also use small marshmallows. It's up to you!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nMake sure your oven's rack is in the center of the oven.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nPreheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan or spray with Pam for Baking (it's awesome!)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nSift together flour, baking powder, and salt* and set aside. (*Only add the salt if you're using unsalted butter.)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nIn a large bowl, beat together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nStir in the flour mixture in two or three batches. (Tip: I highly recommend mixing it by hand first before turning on the mixer or flour will get everywhere.)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nAdd 1\/2 cup of crushed graham crackers into the batter and mix well.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nSpread evenly in prepared pan (mixture will be thick and somewhat cookie-batter-ish.)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nBake 25-30 minutes or until surface springs back when gently pressed.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nTake the blondies out of the oven and immediately spread the finely chopped chocolate on top. Let it sit for a minute or two and then spread the melted chocolate around. Then top with 1\/4-1\/2 cup of crushed graham crackers. It's up to you how much you want.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nTurn on your oven's broiler to high.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nTop the melted chocolate and graham crackers with the marshmallows, cut\/sticky side down facing down towards the chocolate until the entire pan is filled with marshmallows. (Note: you may be tempted not to cut the marshmallows but it may make cutting the bars really tricky later.)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nGet a piece of tin foil ready. You may need to use it as a shield. It should be around 10-11 inches (wider than your pan)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nWith your broiler on high, put the bars into the oven but keep the door open. \u003Cb\u003EPut your phone down and watch your bars or they will burn!\u003C\/b\u003E Within about 20-30 seconds, you'll start to see the tops of the bars turn golden brown. When I made my bars, the middle part of the bars got brown faster than the edges so I shielded them with the tin foil so I could get the rest of the marshmallows brown without risk of burning the marshmallows in the center. Once you're happy with how brown they are, take them out of the oven and let them cool on a cooling rack. Run a knife around the edge of the pan to make sure nothing is sticking.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cb\u003ETips for cutting the bars\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EDon't be in a hurry. Take your time.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EGet a clean wet cloth and a dry cloth ready.\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EI used a bench scraper but any metal straight edge would work (spatula?). If you don't have either, a sharp knife would work too.\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ECut straight down and through to the bottom of the pan. The chocolate will be the hardest layer to get through so you may need to use some muscle. Pull the cutter up and out and wipe it down with the wet cloth (or wash it) and dry it. Repeat. Do this over and over until all the bars are cut. \u003Cb\u003ERemember to take your time!\u003C\/b\u003E Don't be tempted to pull the knife through the blondies or the marshmallows stick to it, dragging blondie, graham crackers and super sticky marshmallow through your bars and things will get very messy and ugly.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\nIf you need to stack the bars to transport them, put a piece of wax paper between layers to keep the bars from sticking together. This little recipe has been one of the my most popular, only second to my \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/dozenflours.com\/2009\/04\/better-than-starbucks-lemon-pound-cake.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EBetter Than Starbucks Lemon Poundcake,\u003C\/a\u003E and has a bit of a cult following. There are so many reasons to love this recipe: they take almost no time to make, their taste and texture appeals to the pickiest of palettes, they are inexpensive to make, they smell amazing when they are baking.. She and I are very similar in some ways: we\u0026#39;re both perfectionists, creative, and very detail oriented in the work that we do. Around the time we first became friends, I was organizing a big open house party at my job and I hired her as my party planner. We were in harmony with our thinking and at times I felt like I had met my clone. Not too terribly difficult a request except I have been a whirling dervish all week and waited until the last possible minute to make them. Since I didn\u0026#39;t have time (or patience!) to make 7 or 8 dozen cookies, I opted for a short cut and made bars instead. He was very pleased with my newest invention and didn\u0026#39;t feel cheated at all.
