He documented his entire design process and even if you're not into graphic design, it's sincerely worth a gander. It was fascinating to see how much work goes into a little logo. Hmmm, kind of reminds me of something else... :)
On that note, in a week or two I'll be launching a totally redesigned site using Vera as the muse. I can't wait to share it with everyone. One more thing: I also recently created a new Dozen Flours Facebook fan page. Please be sure to stop by and say hello!
wow! Vera is just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the new design! If the designer is the same lad who did the logo I'm sure it will be amazing!
Thanks Andrea! :) Unfortunately John didn't do the redesign but I think you'll be pleased with the look. :)
DeleteVera is fab! I just read the case study and made the connection with your blog name and the movie which happens to be one of my favourite ever. About 16 years ago my friend's boyfriend did the exact same thing, giving her a dozen flours for Valentine's day. We told her then and there that he was a keeper and they're still together today. I've been lurking reading your blog for a long time and am happy to see you posting more again!
ReplyDeleteHi Honeythorpe! Thank you for your comment. Wasn't Jon's case study fascinating? He asked me a lot of questions about my blog's name and I told him all about that scene in Stranger Than Fiction. My eyes still well up a bit when I watch it! To me it's one of the most romantic, sweetest gifts someone could do for a baker... well, almost. :)
DeleteThanks for being patient with me while I found my feet again. It's been a tumultuous few years but I'm back and plan to keep posting. :)
